The hourly cost of work force in the non-business sector in Romania recorded the highest increase among the member states of the EU, in the third quarter of this year by comparison with the similar position of last year, according to the data published on Monday by Eurostat. In Romania the hourly cost of the work force in the non-business sector recorded an increase of 9.6% much more than expected in the EU (1%) and the increase of 0.9% recorded in the euro zone.

The European Investment Fund, which oversees the financial fate of EU Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), has recently allocated EUR 10 million to the Catalyst investment fund, via its JEREMIE initiative. Aiming to attract a total of EUR 30 million in capital, Catalyst is set to invest between EUR 200,000 and EUR 2 million in Romanian business initiatives in domains such as technology internet, media, communications and services.
